Dr Liu Hongfei

Dr. Liu Hongfei obtained his bachelor’s degree in Bioscience in June 2014 from Innovation Experimental College, Northwest Agricultural and Forestry University, China. He then obtained his PhD degree in June 2019 through successive postgraduate and doctoral program of study in Ecology from College of Forestry, Northwest Agricultural and Forestry University, China. The title of his PhD thesis was “Ecological effects of AMF in the process of abandoned vegetation succession and its influence on interspecific relationships”. Afterwards, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Bayreuth (Bayreuth, Germany) until March 2022. He has authored 19 articles in peer-reviewed journals (h-index: 8, Citations: 411). His research focus is on the soil C and N cycling in a wide range of terrestrial ecosystems including agricultural ecosystem, grassland ecosystem, and forest ecosystem using stable and nonstable isotope labeling and microbial amplicon sequencing.
