Dr Elena Dadami

Elena studied Biology in University of Crete (Department of Biology). Following her graduation (2005), she received her MSc (2007) and PhD (2012) in Molecular Biology and Biomedicine from University of Crete (Department of Biology). Afterwards, she performed her post-doctoral research (2011-2014) at AlPlanta Institute for Plant Research (Germany). Overall, her scientific interest is focused in the field of plant molecular biology and biotechnology, with emphasis on the mechanisms of RNA interference (RNAi) in plants, viroid biology and plant transformation. Since March 2018 she is a member of the lab, working on the project ‘’SYNTHETIC BIOLOGY: FROM OMICS TECHNOLOGIES TO GENOMIC ENGINEERING (OMIC-ENGINE)’’.
