Chrysovalantou has a first degree in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from the University of Thessaly. She then got an MSc in Integrated Plant Protection & Environmental Management Systems, from the Faculty of Crop Science of the Agricultural University of Athens. She is a PhD student in the Laboratory of Plant and Environmental Biology, under the supervision of Professor Dimitrios Karpouzas. Her scientific interests are focused on the field of microbial microbiology and especially on the impact of the NIs (Nitrification inhibitors) in soil and on GHG (GreenHouse Gas) emissions.
